"I am very concerned about what is going to happen next"

About: Royal United Hospital / Oncology

(as the patient),

I have breast cancer. Breast care unit is the wonderful place to be. Then, I have to deal with oncology department as I need to have 6 cycles of chemotherapy. For the first two of my chemo, everything was ok. I had my appointment come to my letter box for my oncologist appointment for 3rd time and it was 2 days after my 3rd chemo.

I rang RUH, and they said my oncologist was very busy and the date I was offered was the only day available. I was not convinced as I thought I'd rather see an oncologist (anyone) before my next cycle not two days after. At the end, I had to ring my oncologist's secretary and ask to see anybody to make sure my blood count is safe enough before I have my 3rd chemo. After few telephone calls, I got my appointment to see an oncologist in time before my 3rd chemo. And for my 4th chemo, as usual, I need to see my Oncologist again to make sure that I am well enough to go through next chemo as I had very low red blood count and also white blood count after my 2nd chemo (2 unit of blood transfusion was needed).

This time, the appointment with my oncologist is 10 days before my 4th chemo. As I remembered, I was told that I should see an oncologist and have a blood test not longer than 4 days to make sure everything is ok before the next chemotherapy. I do not know who to turn to as I am very concerned about what is going to happen next.
