Having had miserable experiences of care in another hospital I asked for a referral to another hospital and my GP recommended the Women's hospital. From day one staff have been unbelievably kind, supportive and helpful. They ensured dignity when under going embarrassing procedures and the same nurse came with me where possible. I was given time to ask questions and I had loads. I was never made to feel I was a nuisance even if I was a bit fussy. I was scared and they recognised it and gave me time. Having had a major op this week I was so relieved to be met by such a caring team. The consultant is amazing, The gynae nurse in outpatients is a saint and the staff on G5 are fabulous. The theatre staff went out of their way to relieve my anxiety and I felt very safe. Ok its not the most modern place is, I cant understand why there are no TVs on the ward which was a disappointment and no one comes up with papers or magazines, but what mattered was the care and compassion and they have it by the bucket load. One nurse in particular is lovely and the other staff too. I was so frightened and worried about my operation but they supported me constantly. Admin staff are friendly and respectful too. I cant recommend it enough. Thankyou to everyone who cared for me.
"Wonderful care by Gyne team."
