"High standard of care"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

My Grandfather was readmitted to hospital in April 2014, some months after an incredibly negative stay on D40. His stay on E52 and ultimately E54 was quite different. With a couple of minor exceptions, the care my Grandfather received on E52 and E54 was exemplary. All of the nursing staff on E54 were superb and displayed great amounts of care and understanding at all times. It would be a crime to single anybody out for praise on this ward as they have all been so brilliant. E52 were also very good, but particular praise must go to a Healthcare Assistant who was wonderful with my Grandfather. I know my Grandfather thought very highly of her. Special praise also must go to the Matron who visited my Grandfather regularly, she was a godsend. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments and we are delighted to hear that your grandfather's experience of care at Sunderland Royal Hospital was a much more positive one. We will ensure your comments are shared with the staff on Ward E52 who will be delighted that their efforts have been appreciated.
