"So far not so good"

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road)

Would have like to be writing this review on the basis of the clinical care that i'd received at Moorfields as judging by other reviews this will be very good. However we've had such a battle to just get an consultation I felt compelled to leave a review of the process so far. After waiting two weeks with no contact decided to follow up the referral just to make sure it was in hand. Contacted both Moorfields and the referring secretary, on call in Moorfields I got sent from pillar to post only to be told they did not have the request and the consultant’s secretary was on holiday the next three weeks. Referral was sent through again I was told to call back in a week. Following week called back and was told that it had not been sent (it had) and to send it again. Then the next week called again and at last the faxes had been found and the secretary was back but the request had still not been put into the system. Still awaiting confirmation of an appointment. Meanwhile I have resorted to dictating this review to my husband as my site has deteriorated to the point that I finding it hard to use the computer.

I'm sorry to hear about this. We are aware that our administrative processes are not as good as they should be and are working to fix this.
