"ward 11 and ward 31"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I had major surgery on the 30th of may 2014 the staff on ward 11 were great and made you feel relaxed. I then went on to ward 31 bay 4 the staff on days where amazing but when it came to the night staff on 31th and 1st it was like a ghost town on the ward. I woke up on both nights at 3am in pain because I was not given any painkilker after 9pm and when I did ring my bell it was like I had woke them up and they came to me very upset that I had ring and asked for some painkillers and a drink of tea

Dear Reviewer Thank you for taking the time to review our service. It’s great that your visit to Gynaecology was largely positive and that you found the care to be comforting. Wards are usually quieter at night as I’m sure you would expect, but you shouldn’t have to feel that you are putting anyone out by requesting aid. We’re really sorry that this is how you may have been made to feel. We will pass your feedback on to service. If you would like us to investigate further or have any further comments to make, please feel free to email us at communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk. Kind regards, Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
