As a working person who spends 3 hours a day in the car commuting, seeing the GP is complex at the best of times. Our practice (Charlton Medical Practice, Oakengates Shropshire) has a wonderful new system which means I can send messages, requests and order my repeat prescriptions all from my mobile phone app.
This morning I sent a note to the surgery (via the brilliant app) asking for a medicine to be prescribed, to save having to have a phone appointment or go into the surgery. Within 2 hours I got a call from the surgery saying they had received my request and a prescription would be available at the chemist after 4pm. Fantastic patient focused service.
