What I liked

In A and E, the Orthopaedic ward and Fracture Clinic I found:

Friendly reassuring staff, who knew their subject area.

Clean bathroom facilities and easy access (shared with just 2 others on the ward)

Appts in Fracture Clinic kept to time

Referral to physio nearer to my home was soon sorted out.

What could be improved

More car parking for visitors and for patients to keep clinic appts.

Thank you for sending in your comments about the A&E department, the Orthopaedic ward and the Fracture Clinic. We are delighted to read that you found our staff to be friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable. Cleanliness and dignity are top priorities at East Cheshire Trust, and we audit these areas regularly. Therefore it is particularly good to read that you found the bathroom facilities on the ward to be clean and easy to access.

Fracture clinics are particularly busy at this time of year and we are pleased that you did not experience any delays and that your referral to Physiotherapy went smoothly despite the clinics being busy.

Your feedback will be passed on to staff in A&E and Orthopaedics.

We recognise that car parking can be difficult. The Trust has a travel plan in place which includes initiatives to try and reduce congestion on the site. Staff and visitors are encouraged to use alternative methods of transport where possible. We promote cycling and walking for staff, and facilities have been put in place such as lockable bike racks and showers. There has been a good uptake on cycling however this will vary with the weather. Within the next 6 months a car sharing scheme will be put in place for staff. Please accept our apologies for this situation.
