What I liked
I was kept extremely well informed and given lots of opportunity to ask questions.
My treatment involved a procedure under anaesthetic in the Day Surgery Unit and followed an investigation in the Cardiac Centre. Both events were efficiently carried out and I was well supported by both qualified and ancillary staff at all times.
What could be improved
Very little if anything - although my bookings were a little confused at times.
Anything else?
I was impressed by the calm and efficient way reception Staff handled anxious and not particularly cooperative patients and kept things well under control. This was typical of most of the Staff who were dealing with matters on both (and other) occasions. I accept that parking has to be charged but we had no difficulty in parking at any point. Having recently visited a relative in the Bristol Royal Infirmary and finding parking almost impossible that is a huge bonus. I look forward to seeing what the outcome of all the current building work will be and to seeing all areas of this and all hospitals to be as bright and sparkling as the Day Surgery Unit. A sad sight is the small groups of Staff(?) huddled around available spots on the perimeter to smoke. The lack of it within the buildings and grounds is very welcome.
