My stay was on the Eastwood Ward for a minor surgery. The nurses were so friendly, especially my named nurse who was looking after me. I was terrified at having to have my first general anaesthetic but she really reassured me that I would be fine and even held my hand until I fell asleep when I went down to the anaesthetic room. The anaesthetist was amazing, so reassuring and as I was a very nervous patient he talked me through everything he was doing to make me feel at ease. I wouldn't hesitate having a GA again! All in all, a very pleasant experience. The only problem I encountered was that my IV drip hadn't been turned on so it took me longer to feel well enough to get out of bed after surgery but I still went home the same day so it wasn't too much of an issue!
