"worse service care in A&E"

About: Warrington Hospital

My Mom is nearly 70 years old, she is diabetic and high blood pressure patient and have bit disability while walking. She was in worst condition when we visited Warrington A&e suffering Excruciating pain due to high blood pressure and She was bit unconscious. we waited for 5 hours on reception but nobody came to check her when we asked clarification staff spoke rudly and made excuse that there is no time frame waiting criteria and you might have to wait for 24 hours. We left hospital after waiting nearly 6 hours

We're very sorry to hear you had a negative experience. We'd be really grateful if you could contact our patient liaison and advice service (PALS) via pals@whh.nhs.uk so that we can look into this for you. Patients are triaged when they arrive at the unit so you should have seen a nurse just after arriving in the department. There are obviously clear waiting criteria in the department so what you were told doesn't sound quite right. However, we'd need to speak with you to understand all the facts so we can take a look at it for you and take the right action.
