"Hospital Food"

I am sorry to read that your experience of the catering at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital did not meet your expectations. We pride ourselves in the food we offer and last year achieved a score of 88.5% satisfaction when scored by the public assessors on our yearly Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment. At the eight hospitals where we care for inpatients the same two-week menu cycle is served to our patients. We are unsure why your lunch choice was a sandwich as we generally offer three hot choices, choices of salads, jacket potato and sandwiches. In the evening we have two hot choices and again choices of salads, jacket potato and sandwiches. We also serve soup in the evening as well as two vegetable and potato choices at both lunch and supper The Café at Bognor is closed at times to allow for staff training and we are reviewing this currently. I am sorry if it was closed during your stay and for any inconvenience this might have caused you. If you are an inpatient again at Bognor Hospital and you are not satisfied with the food we serve, please raise your concerns with a member of staff and ask to see someone from our catering team.
