"The Team on Ward 60 headed by the consultant are..."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

My Mother aged 85 spent 3 weeks on Ward 60.... The consultant headed a marvellous team of staff who all worked to get my Mum better. She arrived very poorly indeed, but they did everything they could to make sure she was comfortable and well cared for. Impressed is not the word... they all excelled. Having experienced HRI on previous occassions, I was shocked to find such a turn around. They have to be congratulated on this ward for their dedication and efforts. The consultant was exceptional. Thankyou ! Mum was so impressed she thought she was in a "private" hospital. She had a stent fitted in her Gall bladder (severe jaundice) along with other complications... but she was given a full MOT ! Having then spent 2 weeks in Castle Hill.... again they continued with a huge effort to continue with improving her health and well being. Unfortunately now, we are waiting for her notes to get from Castle Hill to the Doctors Surgery .... evidently this is normal ! The NHS has done an amazing job.... 5 weeks of intensive Medical care.... now let down as its taken a week and still we have no "handover".... terrible terrible terrible - after everyone's physical efforts.... the paperwork causes a stop to her healthcare.
