"Motivate your staff"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

My husband was addmitted 3 times in the space of 1 week for problems with his heart and we are still awaiting an appointment to a cardiologist 2 weeks later although we were told his case would be treated as a matter of urgency. The staff are nice and well meaning but you can tell resource wise they are stretched and that may explain the lack of progress on the letter. The Doctor that he goes to isnt particularly proactive so we have had to rely heavily on A and E. When I have asked for the appointment to be expediated they say they have but the fact is they keep sending us to A and E. maybe its cheaper for the surgery but it oviously isnt for a and e departments or their overstretched staff.
