Our 11 year old son had heart surgery in January 2014. We could not fault any aspect of his five day stay. The first ward was Walrus. We were greeted with smiling faces. The staff were patient, caring and understanding and made the waiting easier. After 51/2 hrs of surgery two anxious parents were taken to an extremely efficient intensive care unit. The staff were brilliant explaining everything. Nothing was too much trouble. After 3 days our son was moved to Bear Ward. Again excellent staff and a very clean ward. The play specialist was brilliant and couldn't do enough for him. The staff not only look after the children but also the parents. The after care has been good too. A great hospital!!!! Thank you
