"Walk in blood tests"

I had an occasion to have a blood test at the walk in service at Walton Hospital. I must say how appalled I was to see how many people were waiting for their blood to be taken. One gentleman said he had been waiting one and a half hours. There was only one nurse on duty and I felt this was quite unacceptable. Who makes these unworkable decisions? Please bring back the old system where an appointment is made and you are in and out in no time at all. Why change a perfectly good system. Is this progress? I hardly think so. I mentioned to the staff how this cock-eyed system might be improved. The answer was write in and complain but I do not think this will make any difference! Do these so-called people in charge ever wonder why our hospitals get such a bad name? I would appreciate a reply to this complaint but I fear that along with other complaints that it will be ignored.
