"Waiting time for X Ray"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

I visited the hospital last week for a X Ray which is a drop in service and no appointment could be made. On arrival, a notice was showing a 1 hour waiting time. This in itself is totally unacceptable, and was made worse by actually having to wait almost 2 hours, When will the NHS understand that they need to provide a reasonable level of service to their customers and not expect them to wait this length of time for the convenience of their staff. Patients also have their own commitments and cannot afford to be waiting around. Surely an appointment system would be more sensible?
