"This place has saved my life"

About: Airedale Centre for Mental Health / Adult mental health service

(as the patient),

Difficult when I first got here (Heather Ward) as I didn’t want to be here. I was assessed and everything was a blur, but staff gave me good information.

Somedays are better than others, but not fully recovered yet. I felt my care could have been better planned which upset me as I wasn’t involved. The problem has been resolved now.

You just can’t find any faults with food and activities here. Been very positive.

This place has saved my life and one day I want to give something back.

Thank you for this feedback which was discussed in our team meeting on 4th July 2014.

There are positive aspects you have mentioned which have been discussed which will help us continue with the good things, we also acknowledge there are concerns raised about lack of involvement in care planning although we are glad that this was later resolved in your case. We are privileged to learn that we have supported someone who can say we saved their life.

We heavily rely on service user feedback to capture what`s working well and what can be improved.
