After a late night transfer from QMC Nottingham my wife had to wait until 4,30am to be seen by a doctor. As a result the staff on eard 7b were unable to supply her with the medication supplied by QMC and she missed one of the due times to take as we were informed that only one Dr was available to cover all the wards as it was abank holiday weekend ! The next time a Dr came to see her was on tuesday morning, three and a half days after being admitted on friday night. At the same time the ward staff continued to give drugs that should have been stopped on monday. When questioned the Dr on duty on tuesday told me that my wife would have been seen before being admitted which was not true. Even though ,y wife was sent to pilgrim from QMC for rehab after spending some 23 days in bed following an operation to correct an intercranial bleed, no one has as yet been to see her or start any kind post op treatment needed. In addition a staff member tried to medicate my wife but did not know what the drug was for.Although most of thr staff have been kind and caring , qualified staff were noticeable by their absence. No consultant either as yet!! NOT Good pilgrim.
