What I liked
After years of private medical cover I was apprehensive about having an operation on the NHS. But, following my foot operation at the L&D earlier this month I have nothing but praise for the staff and treatment I received.
Within 2 hours of arrival I was sent for my operation and woke afterwards in a clean, bright and quiet ward. The nursing staff were professional and caring and my treatment throughout my two day stay was well coordinated. The nurses were attentive and ensured I was in as little pain as possible.
What could be improved
The food was adequate, but uninspiring. It could be improved.
Anything else?
My op was during the first week of January when the weather was very cold, with snow and ice. I was impressed by the commitment of the staff who seemed to make great efforts to get to work and ensure that patients were well looked after.
