"Caring, professional team."

A long overdue review. I have been visiting Rheumatology in York since 2004 and find the whole team, caring, professional and understanding. The doctor is an exceptional consultant and always very professional. I have never doubted his commitment to his work and his patients. He is a new breed of consultant who listens to his patients, takes time to answer questions and is very reassuring without any air of superiority. I know my own mind but I put my complete trust in him. My only concern is the time between appointments which I was always told had to be three monthly, they were more recently changed to six monthly which a nurse explained was due to the departments workload and resources. During a recent and distressing flare in my condition I called for a nurse specialist but did not receive a return telephone call. Fantastic commitment from the whole team.
