About: NHS Highland (Health)

(as a relative),

A pharmacy dispensed too many tablets to my son

My son died

NHS highland and the pharmacy say they have investigated

They say the investigation is confidential

The pharmacy wont even allow us to make a complaint.

Dear tigermum

I am so sorry to hear of the tragic loss of your son.

I understand what a difficult time that this must be for you and the family but if, and when, you feel ready, I would like to have more details so that I can look into this on your behalf. You can contact me on 01463 704977 or emead@nhs.net

NHS Highland now rarely does not share the outcome of investigations with families, so I can only think that there must be something unusual here, and I am very sorry that you feel that important information is being kept from you.

You also have every right to complain, and I would be happy to help you to make your concerns know so that we can get the explanation that you need.

I do hope that you will be able to get in touch sometime soon.
