"Staff attitudes and infection control"

About: Salford Royal / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I attended the GP OOH on with my son, despite asking to see the GP we were triaged by the nurse in A&E- and I can honestly say the message about care and compassion has completely bypassed this member of staff.

I found them ignorant, barely acknowledged my son, the patient, and when I politely asked a very simple question the retort was sarcastic! Not an appropriate response to a concerned parent.

We then saw another nurse, think they may have been an more senior member of staff and was astounded to see that she was wearing diamond rings, a watch, false acrylic nails - and a neck scarf- like air hostesses wear! Not a very good image that is being portrayed and a huge concern regarding infection!
