I was referred to Newark Hospital (the Eastwood Centre) by my GP on Wednesday 21 May at 3.30pm with a suspected thrombosis and arrived at 4pm The professionalism from the team was exceptional, I had blood tests and was sent for a scan at 5pm, and a clot was discovered in my leg. I was given my first treatment (an injection) at 5.30pm and was home by 6pm, starting a course of warfarin. So within 3 hours of a GP appointment I was seen, scanned, diagnosed and treated! The subsequent follow up has been faultless and I have to thank everyone in ultrasound "and anyone else who knows me"! You are a credit to your profession and truly inspire confidence - Thank you!
