"Monica Josephine Heald dec'd"

My 84 year old friend was admitted to A&E on 3 May and treated there for several hours until transferred to AMU. She was in ICU for a day and then transferred to the HDU where she died on 7th May. Throughout the whole time she was treated with the greatest of respect and dignity. Both I and her brother and foster son were kept informed and consulted during this time and staff were always available to answer our questions. A member of staff on HDU was particularly good when her son flew in late on the Tuesday night from Malaysia. Thank you all for making Monica's last few days as comfortable as possible.
