"A& E and ACU"

About: Watford General Hospital

One often hears that the NHS is not up to standard but my experience has been totally different and positive I was taken in by ambulance with a ? Pulmonary Embolus following back surgery 3 weeks ago. I was assessed speedily, given ECG and X-ray within a reasonable time and transferred to the ACU for further investigation. My HCA could not have been more professional and helpful as were all the staff I came across. I greatly appreciate the care & treatment I was given and I am writing to thank all of you for looking after me so well and easing my anxiety. Andree Curtis

Thank you for taking the time to let us have feedback about the care you received from our A&E (accident and emergency) and ACU (ambulatory care unit) teams at Watford Hospital.

I was sorry to hear you were unwell and I hope you have now made a full recovery.

I was very pleased to read your comments about both teams and I have shared them with the two departments. I know they will be grateful. Both A&E and ACU are busy units and positive feedback like yours does wonders for staff morale.

Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.
