"Never go to this hospital"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

Oxygen tube left on next to inoperable TV with wires hanging out (I think there was still a charge going through the wire). Incontinence pants left on the floor in the corner and handed to patients when needed. Elderly woman left in agony in chair for 2 hours as no sheets available for her bed. A build up of spit bowl, washing up bowl, breakfast, tea, wet towel, absorbent towels used for washing all on tray - at lunchtime. No request bell ever responded to. Total disregard for patients dignity or ailments. No-one knew what was going on. Fire drill - Thursday morning - nurses disappear - doors shut automatically. Patients unaware of procedure - panic! Bed not made from Tuesday to Friday. Told to wash in bed and wet sheets will be changed - never were. Disgusting conditions.

Thank you for taking the time to bring these matters to our attention. We were very concerned to read about your experiences on the orthopaedic ward and have brought them to the attention of staff. The details you describe are not typical of the standard of service at Frimley Park and we would like to investigate further. It would be really helpful of you could our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01276 526530, palsusers@fph-tr.nhs.uk
