About: Trafford General Hospital / General medicine

(as other),

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope. It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity provided to the service to make changes and improvements wherever possible.

In response to your comment, I can tell you that Jane Powner, Assistant Directorate Manager for the Division of Medicine, Trafford Hospitals will be overseeing a divisional review of Trafford phlebotomy service and the facilities where they are housed, as we do appreciate that the area is in need of improvement (the seating area included). We will be looking for an alternative more appropriate space to house the service and hope to have the review completed by autumn 2014.

We are sorry that you experienced long delays when attending for blood tests and appreciate how frustrating and inconvenient delays can be. We would like to reassure you that as well as looking at the environment as part of the review of the phlebotomy services we will be including opening times and staffing with the aim of improving the overall experience for our patients.

It is difficult to respond to all the posts in a full way often because of a lack of detailed information, therefore if you would like to discuss this with us in more detail, please feel free to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk
