"Maternity unit"

About: Royal Free Hospital

I had the worst of experiences at the Royal free after carefully choosing my Antenatal care which was great ,i must say . Things have changes in the delivery suite and postpartum care . I had none of these ! it was very disappointing and frustrating in the same time ! I have seen others receiving the care and information and wondered why i haven't had all that . I was really inclined to make a formal complaint . Many things went wrong .and i was a first time mummy and had no skills and much knowledge in how to deal with my baby, especially breastfeeding . I was left there feeling stupid for 2 days until i literally had to drag someone (breastfeeding specialist) to show me what to do ! My baby was hungry and they feed him after 9 hours for the first time :( . Anyway there's lots to say but all i wanted to point out to be careful in choosing a hospital . My baby was lucky that a midwife left for her break and another came to cover and was shocked of how badly the situation was . Delivered the baby in 2 minutes ... It was a total mess . The midwife i was assign had no knowledge , no skills , no respect, no kindness , nothing that a good nurse has . I am furious when i thing of what i had to go through at the famous Royal Free
