"I was diagnosed here with skin ..."

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was diagnosed here with skin cancer 2 yrs ago and attend 3 monthly for check ups. Every member of the team that I see provides care to the highest standard I have every confidence in them all, including the doctor, the nurses, the unregistered support, the clerical staff and the volunteers

What could be improved

Nothing

Anything else?

when I did have ccause to complain to the staff about a visiting doctor who examined me without a chaperone in a manner that made me feel uncomfortable, my comments were treated with respect and a senior manager assured me that my experience had been noted and changes would be made to ensure it did not happen again. I was supported to make my complaint and in my veiw this makes for an excellent service.

Whilst we very pleased this patient had a good experience with us overall we are sorry that there was an issue regarding a chaperone. We will address this with our team in Outpatients to make sure patients' individual dignity needs are met in the future.
