"Excellent Care in the Stroke Rehab Ward at Royal Preston Hospital"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

On Jan 4th 2007 i suffered a haemorrhagic stroke from my neighbours raising the alarm to a doctor arriving then an ambulance took 2 and half hours from my neighbours description as I cannot remember any of this I was then put in a corridor at the hospital and my neighbour sat with me for 2 hours till I was seen. she thought I would die before anyone saw me ... I then spent a few days on a medical evaluation ward and was then transferred to The fell View stroke rehab ward. what a difference clean, wonderful staff and obviously well trained in stroke rehab and care. the way every one was treated was amazing and cleanliness you never see in the main part of the hospital .. As for treatment for the stroke I think just rest and pysio. I am very much improved, still have some obstacles to overcome and hopefully the horrendous headaches will go away and I will stop sleeping my life away but for any one wondering about fell view stroke unit - they were a wonderful team
