"Waiting for appointment"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

I am currently waiting on an appointment for an ultrasound so can't review the service yet. But having had swollen glands in this weather it's unbearable. Just phoned to see if they know when my appointment will be as nice guidelines state I should be seen within 2 weeks. The lady I spoke too explained I should hear from then soon should be end of this week. Have my mobile in case of cancellation. She was very pleasant. She was helpful even though she was probably very busy. Just wish my doctor would of put in the request 5 days earlier when he saw me not waited for my bloods to come back. May go private. Thank you to the staff for answering my questions though. Very helpful.

Thank you for your comments. All ultrasound scans that are ordered are given an estimated appointment date within 6 weeks, however, this can be earlier if an urgent referral is received. We appreciate your kind words regarding the help you received and will share feedback with the department.
