"Respect and Dignity from Paramedics"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

May 18th 20.15...I trapped and twisted my foot today and became unable to walk on it, the swelling and pain got worse as the day went on. I decided to contact 111 for advice, the gentleman on the phone was very kind and shown me a lot of empathy, after the details were given his advice from a Senior member was to send a Paramedic around as i lived on my own and could not weight bear. Paramedics arrived. They checked my foot, temp, pulse and Blood pressure along with questions relating to my general health and allergies. Luckily it was just badly sprained but they gave me the option of taking me to hospital for an x ray I refused as was very happy with the treatment given and 2 Ibrufin tablets but only after they checked that these would not have any adverse affects with the medication i was already on. I cannot give enough praise of how I was treated. I was treated with Respect and Dignity, very professional. All the time they were here constantly checking me over, By the time they left i was able to weight bear and the pain and swelling a lot less. I commented that i was embarrassed that they had come and it was only a sprain but they reassured me that it was not a waste of there time this made me feel very privileged to have been treated by them. I would like to say what lovely Paramedics they were and what a credit to Milton Keynes Hospital to have such professionalism in their staff. Thank you so much.
