I had an appointment back on March 31st with a breast surgery clinic at Newbury hospital, after the examination the nurse practitioner said she would arrange an appointment for a mammogram and scan, on her return to Reading hospital the next day, and to make an appointment for 6 weeks for the results of these tests. Today 8th May I rang to cancel the follow up booked for the 12th May, as I hadn't received the scan date etc, I was told to ring the breast surgery department at reading to check the progress of the scan/mammogram date, only to be told by the person on the phone quite rudely, that I was too young to be on their books, so I was told to ring x-ray, I did only for them to tell me that I no appointment booked nor any record of one being requested, so they suggested ringing the secretary of the doctor but that went straight to answering machine saying she was out till Tuesday 6th May, I left a message, not only have I had to endure the worry of waiting for news whether good or bad, I know have to start all over again, I have normally gone to Basingstoke for my hospital needs but I was told that RBH would be better as it would be quicker, as I now life in Berkshire. I feel very disappointed that I have been made to wait only to find I was never put on the appointment list! It is wrong to make a person wait more that necessary but I feel so let down and now more stressed and worried then I did before my first appointment in March/
