About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

diagognostic day unit is a lovely clean modern place. staff are great! . I have only one gripe! when being taken to theatre or treatment room. you are wheeled through the wainting room. . everyones head turns to look who is coming through.not very nice when you have no dentures in, and are wearing a hospital gown, I did not have anaesthetic for my procedure. so I was told I could walk through . I didn't mind waliking, but I had on a hospital gown , no dentures , was very embarrassing, I have had two separate procedures done on different days. and the same thing happened on both days

Thank you for your kind feedback on the department and Day Unit staff following your recent visit and also for raising the very important issue of privacy and dignity. Please accept our sincere apologies that your personal privacy and dignity was compromised when you attended the cardiology service. Your comments have been considered and discussed in detail this week by the senior nurse in the department and the matron and general manager. They are now working together to make as many changes as possible to the process of patients moving through the department, to relieve any situations where they are likely to feel embarrassed or vulnerable. With our best wishes and grateful thanks
