"Children's A&E explained what was happening at every stage"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I took my 11year old son to Children's A&E yesterday, approx 7. 30 pm. Although very busy I found the staff to be fast and efficient.

They were all very kind and helpful to my son and me, they explained what was happening and why at every stage. So my son although in pain was reassured and happy.

The staff were all very informative to me even though they were very busy. What a lovely team they and the radiographers are.

Dear ‘cuddly’

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of visiting Children’s A&E at University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

I’m so pleased to hear that your son felt reassured and happy whilst he was in our care. It’s so rewarding for staff to receive such lovely feedback and know that the high standards are care they set themselves are leading to such positive patient experiences.

I will share your kind words with the rest of the team who I am sure will be delighted.

Best wishes,

Kev Parker, Emergency Department Matron
