About: Croydon University Hospital

My elderly mother died at Croyon University Hospitall. I saw her at lunch time she was fine and by the time i went back she had died. However, she was considered healthy enough to leave! . I witnessed a nurse shove the food down her neck and she had no time to chew the food. Nurses quite often wouldn't answer her bell quick enough and she would wet the bed. Her care was discussed around her bed with several medical professionals as if she wasn't there and for others to hear! The nurses are too short staffed and a lot don't have the patience with the elderly although some were marvellous. If you have an elderly relative please try your best to get them out of hospital as soon as possible. I could write a book about her experience.
