What I liked

I visited the breast care unit of North Tees on a number of occasions from Oct-Dec 2008.

This was a very worrying time for me. The support I got throughout my experience from the specialist breast care nurse was second to none. She was extremely supportive, nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained to me in a way that I could understand.

All of the staff, radiologists, radiographers, nurses, admin staff treat me with dignity and respect at all times.

What was a very difficult time was eased by the friendliness, professionalism and caring attitude of the staff.

I expected this unit to be depressing - I was proved very wrong!

Thank you very much for your comments about the breast unit. We're very proud of our staff on the unit who, as you said, do everything they can to support and care for their patients at what can be a very distressing time. I will pass your very kind comments on to them. I'm sure they will be delighted to receive such wonderful feedback.
