What I liked
I was referred to the Royal Free for an emergency operation from Chase farm Hospital after being admitted from A & E. I had to have surgery to my head to remove the Subdural Haematoma (a bleed under the membrane on the surface of the left side of my brain). I had become very unwell unable to move all of my right side and was very confused and frightened I eventually could no longer speak or communicate to my family. It seemed that my life would never be the same again if I survived this ordeal. I was admitted in on a Thursday night and had surgery Friday morning. The surgeon had preformed a miracle with the help from god. I had regained my right side, speech and my dignity. I was treated with great respect throughout and was overwhelmed by the care, attention and consideration many of the staff were very compassionate, caring and highly skilled in the care they gave.
I felt throughout, that the staff genuinely cared about my health. Most of the doctors, were very professional
I would like to thank you for your understanding. the surgical consultant and her team of Neuro surgeons for doing a miracle on me and bringing me back to life from this terrible ordeal. Also a thank you to the ward sister on 6 south ward for her reassurance and care given to me along with her staff nurses and keeping the ward so very very clean.
