What I liked
Cleanliness of wards and overall hospital
Good facilities and services
My relative seemed fairly comfortable around the ward staff of B22
What could be improved
My relative was admitted at Burnley then taken to RBH at 11pm after waiting 3 hours for the ambulance to arrive. Was admitted to Blackburn Urgent Care and waited for doctor to recieve x-rays even though they are supposed to be downloadable onto any hospital registered computer. When doctor finally recieved x-rays at about 2am, patient was admitted to B22. Was told she would be having operation in a few hours - that didn't go ahead. Was told at 2 pm it would go ahead - once again it didn't. Was told after 6pm it would - once again it didn't. Was told not having operation following morning and could be discharged that afternoon. Nurse did rounds that afternoon and said patient must wait for pharmacist to deliver medication in half an hour. I'm not going to go on about how long it took but was waiting from 12:30pm till 5:30pm. Seems like departments have no communications. Finally was discharged!
Anything else?
Would recommend but be aware the wait at RBH Urgent Care is HORRENDOUS!
