"Recent operation"

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

I have been a outpatient of the urology dept for a few years and had to come in for a operation recently. I cannot praise enough the way I have always been looked after by all concerned in my care, and my recent visit for my operation was no different. The only point I would make is with the food. While it was very good, it was not pointed out to me that there was a tick system where you could pick your meal size and because of this only had small meals and was left feeling hungry. This could have been pointed out to me as I was not exactly all there after my operation.

Dear Mr Williams, Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate the time you have taken to compliment our staff. Please be assured that your kind words have been shared with our staff. However, I was sorry to learn you were not advised that we use a tick system so that patients can pick the appropriate sized meal, and that you were left feeling hungry as a result. This will be discussed with the ward staff to ensure that this does not happen again. Thank you once again for providing us with your feedback. The Patient Experience Team
