I had an elective c-section and the care I received from the surgical team was first class. I found the ward midwifes ok but not very caring - one or two however, we're excellent. I was ok as I was content feeding and caring for my baby so I didnt need their help. However, the woman across from me was obviously struggling and her baby cried solidly from 9pm-9am for two days! This was not only cruel to the baby as the mother couldn't pick the baby up due to drains she had ( I'm not sure if she didn't want to pick her baby up or couldn't ) but it also wasnt fair to anyone else on the ward as we were all kept awake as the baby screamed all night! When she pressed her buzzer it took about 20-30 minutes for anyone to respond, which I thought was appalling! The pain relief care was excellent and my only criticism was the care another mother recieved. I would recommend the hospital as my experience was very possitive and would have my next child there. The catering staff were incredibly rude to everyone.
"I would recommend the hospital"
