"Not being listened to."

About: Basildon University Hospital

This relates to my 9 year old daughter. She has a hand complaint being bullied and teased at school. Treatment has made the problem worse. Hospital refused to give her a follow up appointment. Been back to the doctors who has again had to refer back to the hospital but because she was discharged is now at the bottom of the pile. No one is listening to me. Did speak to the original consultants secretary to see if she could be fast tracked - no. Can I please remind you that this is a 9 year old girl who is being bullied!! I would like to speak to someone regarding this.

We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the care your daughter is receiving at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Your comments have been shared with the department concerned. Can we also encourage you to contact the Patient, Advice and Liaison Service on pals@btuh.nhs.uk or 01268 524900 ext 4441 where you will be able to talk to someone about your concerns.
