"Disgraceful report on breast lump"

I was referred by my GP to have a 2 month old lump in my breast looked at. Upon examination my GP at my practice clearly said I had a lump and she could make it out very easily by placing her thumb and forefinger either side of it. I go to the consultation at the hospital and the consultant simply ran the palm of his hand up both my breasts and said there was no lump. Well, of course he wouldn't find it - he didn't use the same method as my GP! He asked about what medication I take and I very clearly said I take thyroxine for an underactive thyroid. This wasn't even written in the letter CC'd back to me! Surely this would be significant? He also wrote that the pain in my breast was not severe enough to require analgesia. Umm, yes it was severe enough to require analgesia, I didn't take any analgesia because some painkillers are not safe for a hypothyroid patient to take! Stop twisting my words! And why at the scan did the radiographer say I had dense breast tissue - not the usual fatty type of breast tissue - and the consultant said it was normal? Dense breast tissue is not normal if breasts usually consist of fatty tissue! Disgraceful. Absolutely disgraceful. I spent all day traveling to the hospital and back. I won't be going back there again.
