"ward 12F"

About: The Royal London Hospital

I have just finished a one month stay in ward 12F. The care i received was very good and some of the staff were excellent. going beyond expectations in their professionalism and humanity. for instance staying at shift change to wash me, that extra cup of tea, finding time to talk when I was very low. For some nothing was too much trouble and that made all the difference to both my physical and emotional health. It made my stay bearable at a time when I was frightened, frustrated and desperate. However there were those that let this down and increased the work load for those i have mentioned above, some agency some not. Staff that made me feel a nuisance and were rude or sat with a mobile phone and a soft drink on the ward and disappeared when needed, avoided work at all costs or worryingly told me my blood sugar was high so I shouldn't take my insulin! Ignoring a PET scan fax until it was too late to book transport. However the good vastly outweighed the bad hence my ratings. The staff on that ward need the positive recognition and praise but they also need not to carry dead wood staff. It is not is the ward fully staffed to tick a criteria but is is staffed with quality that take their faie share of the work So a big thank you to all the staff on ward 12F that are doing a great job and to the powers that be value them.
