I had a spasm in my back muscles and could not move from my position leaning on the kitchen table. I always keep a mobile with me as I live alone, so called 999. I told them where the key was hidden, and they were able to let themselves into the house. The team of three were with me in about ten minutes, gave me gas to ease the pain, called for backup help with stronger painkillers, waited and chatted while they took effect, then put me into my bed, checked I was OK, let themselves out and locked the house.
