I was left in a room where the 2 doors were opened by a cleaner. One of these doors was to the A & E waiting room and because I had an open abdominal wound I could not get up to close it myself. Dignity and Respect- I don't think so. When a consultant was called for he totally ignored my wishes and treated me with almost contempt because I dare to ask for the wound to be closed. I was left all night at home standing up getting no sleep because if I sat/bent the wound opened more. My own consultant had me in early the next morning and closed the wound. I did complain but the reply details were nothing I recognised and you are up against an establishment who gang up. The next week I had a severe allergic reaction and I begged the paramedics not to take me to CGH A & E but they had to. The treatment I received there was even worse. I am so glad it is not 24hrs now
