I was very happy with the way the pre-operation assessment was carried out. I was given lots of information and was made aware of exactly what would happen at the time of the operation. I was, however, surprised to hear that patients undergoing cataract surgery could not have a relative/friend wait for them on site. This may make it unnecessarily stressful and inconvenient for some.
