We are writing to ask you to pass on our profound thanks to the staff who cared for our son who had an appendix operation at Warwick Hospital on the evening of Wednesday 26th March. We thought the care he received was excellent and that a number of your staff went out of their way to make sure he and the rest of our family had a very positive experience through a difficult time. Our son was cared for in MacGregor Ward where all the nursing staff were excellent. We found the explanation of the operation that the Play Nurse provided to our son was very re-assuring for him and us. The team who performed the operation were exceptional, particularly during the period shortly after the operation when he was coming round and we were allowed to be with him in the recovery room. The team of anaesthetists who supported the operation were excellent and very re-assuring to him. The senior anaesthetist went out of his way to re-assure us and our son both before and after the operation. He even offered to make us all a cup of coffee towards the end of his shift that evening when he also had a call to make in the delivery department!
"Excellent care of my son and our family"
