"Moody night staff! No respect ! Nor consideration"

About: Tameside General Hospital

After being rushed to hospital I was admitted to the woman's health unit in tameside hospital the day staff was lovely reassuring and helpful with oain relief it got to about 6pm and the most rudest nurse was 'looking after' me, I had asked 3 different nurses for pain relief and still 3 hours later ... Nothing! I then approach this 'nurse' that was in my opinion flirting with a paramedic and not doing her job properly to which when I asked for pain relief she basically told me to go back to my bed and not 'butt in' I never have really been tameside hospital for this reason and they wonder why it has a reputation when they employ nurses like this that are lazy and rude I will never go back here even kicking and screaming! I'm so disgusted. I must say though my day nurse in that unit was lovely and they should employ more like her such a shame she works with so many miserable people !

Dear Ms Adshead,

I am sorry that you experienced a poor attitude from the staff working on night duty during your stay on the Women’s Health Unit. This is not the standard that is expected from the staff.

Please can I ask that you contact me on 0161 922 6078 to discuss your concerns further.

Thank You
