"Great experience in children's emergency..."

About: University Hospital Lewisham

My daughter was seen promptly by triage nurse and sent for x ray. We had a bit of a wait to see a doctor but the nurse kept us informed and told us when it was safe for her to eat. We were out the door in 2 1/2 hours and had a call back the next day when x rays had been reviewed. Very pleased this hospital is nearby and easily accessible.

Thank you for finding the time to provide feedback on your daughters' recent attendance at the childrens Emergency Department at Lewisham Hospital. I hope she is feeling better now and am glad to hear that you and your daughter received good quality care. We acknowledge that at times the department is very busy and in some cases carers and their child may experience a wait to be seen. In such cases we appreciate good communication is vital and I am pleased to hear we kept you all informed". Again your comments are much appreciated and I have passed them on to the staff concerned.
